Our physical and mental health is impacted by many things, including those which cannot always be seen. Experiencing Human Rights such as equity, diversity, inclusivity and accessibility plays a large part in our daily well-being and feelings of safety. Access to (or lack of) these human rights can impact our overall health to a level on par with food security, good nutrition, safe, stable housing and meaningful sleep.
The Chilliwack School District strives to create safe, healthy spaces for all students, and supports meal programs, education initiatives and community organizations in the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
In 2023 the Feeding Futures Program was launched and has become an integral part of food security for students and families of our district.
